Tab Trade - What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is solid.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders find it more natural once they try it.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That would round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering is strong. Hardly anyone at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the part that matters. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it comes down to your priorities.
